Cub Scout Pack 1705, located in the northeast area of Troy, Michigan, is dedicated to helping younger boys develop strong moral character through fun, meaningful activities at the pack, den, family, and individual levels.

2010 Pinewood Derby Update
Pack News icon The 2010 Pinewood Derby is fast approaching! This is a premier pack activity and everyone enjoys seeing the spectacular cars that the boys design and make.

Cars must be weighed in and inspected. There are two days planned for weigh in.

Wednesday, Feb 17th 6:30 - 8:30 - Gustafson Residence (4255 Greensboro, Mt. Vernon Sub)
Thursday, Feb 18th 6:30 - 8:30 - at the cafeteria at Hill Elementary

Keep in mind that once a car has passed inspection it is impounded until race day.

The big race will be held on Saturday, Feb 20th at Troy First United Methodist Church - 6363 Livernois, Troy, MI 48098. The racing schedule is as follows:

Tigers (1st Grade) 10 am
Wolves (2nd Grade) 11 am
Bears (3rd Grade) Noon
Webelos (4th & 5th Grade) 1 pm
Finals/ Open Class/ Awards/ Pizza 2 pm
Clean up 3:30 pm
100th Birthday of Boy Scouts!

2010 Camp Agawam
Pack News icon The boys and parents gather for a group picture after the Dog Sled Race at Camp Agawam held on Tommy's Lake. Each den designed and built their own sleds from the same provided materials.

December Pack Meeting
Pack News icon Cubs enjoyed annual Christmas carol sing-a-long, decorating the Cubmaster Tree, and participating in the annual dog sled races. The cubs also donated peanut butter and jelly for the St. Aloysius warming shelter

2010 Scouting Sunday
Pack News icon Remember, a scout is reverent. Please plan to attend your place of worship on February 7th (or any Sunday during the month of February) in your scouting uniform. Let your den leader know that you participated and earn a patch.


2010 Fish-O-Ree
Pack News icon The 2010 Fish-O-Ree will be held on Saturday, February 6th, 2010 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM at Thelma Spencer Park which is located on the east side of John-R, 1/4 mile north of South Boulevard. Be sure to dress warmly for this fun winter event. Look for the Pack 1705 banner.

Ice Skating at the Troy Sports Center
Pack News icon An Ice Skating outing at the Troy Sports Center is scheduled for December 12th. Please contact your den leader for more information.
2010 Winter Camp Out
Pack News icon The 2010 Winter Camp Out is being planned for Friday, January 29th to Sunday, January 31st. The location and associated costs are still being resolved. More details will be available at the December Pack Meeting and will be posted on the web site. All Cubs are welcome to participate in this fun activity.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive
Pack News icon Please bring in jars of peanut butter and jelly to the December Pack Meeting. The Pack is collecting PB&J for St. Aloysius in Detroit. The volunteers at St. Aloysius use these donations to make sandwiches for the homeless.
