31st Annual Operation Can-Do by Pack 1705 Admin
Posted on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 in Pack News

Operation Can-Do starts on November 1st, 2008. This is an important community service that the Detroit Area Council is involved with, perhaps more important this year than ever. It has been reported that one in ten Michigan families receive food assistance from emergency food bank networks each year. All of the canned goods and non-perishable food that is collected will be distributed to food providers around the state to help feed those in need. And it all starts with cub scouts!!!
Bags and coverage maps for Operation Can-Do will be distributed on Saturday 11/1. Contact your den leader for more information.
Pass out the bags in your coverage area on Saturday 11/1 by hanging them on the front door handles.
Pick up the bags with canned goods and non-perishable food items on Saturday 11/8. Contact your den leader for more information regarding drop off times.
Scouting is fun....and in this case can make a big difference in peoples lives!

Please join your fellow pack members for the annual Cub Scout Litter Pick Up on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Hill Elementary School. Bring a trash bag, gloves, and your flashlight as we clean up the school yard by moonlight. When we are done we will play games and enjoy cider and donuts.
At least one parent must accompany each cub as they hunt elusive litter in the dark.
